Sketch Something CHALLENGE

I hope everyone had as much fun creating their "faux" projects last week as I did checking them out! I think I have about 8 new faux techniques to try out, I can't wait!! A big thanks to everyone who played along with us last week and we're happy to see you and some new faces this week for a very exciting challenge.

This week, we are super excited to announce our first guest designer!!! Her name is Katharina Frei of Katharina's Creative Place!! In addition to creating a fabulous card for inspiration, Katharina also provided us with this sketch!!!! --------------> Isn't it fabulous???

Before you check out what our design team created for inspiration, here are a few somethings about Katharina........

Personal somethings....
Katharina was born in Vienna , the capital of Austria , but moved to Switzerland in 2007 with her Swiss husband, Marcel, and two boys, Niklas and Noel. She is a SAHM, but works part-time as a Web Content Manager, which she does from home to still be there for her kids fulltime.

Stamping somethings......
Stamping and card making are her passion and addiction. She loves to craft with stamps, colour them in, design card layouts and try new techniques.
Her favorite stamps companies are High Hopes Rubber Stamps and Sugar Nellies. She just loves their adorable and versatile designs.
She loves to share her ideas and creations with other crafters and hopes to provide inspiration!

Faux Something CHALLENGE

Happy Friday!!

I can't believe another week is already over and we're on to a new challenge! We'd like to thank all of you who participated in our "Little Something to Say Thank You" challenge last week. It's been amazing to see all the awesome creativity. We've enjoyed visiting all of you! We hope you'll continue to play along each week.

The challenge this week is "Faux Something." We'd like to see you fake us out with your clever faux creations! There are so many different techniques out there, give one a try. Check out the samples made by our design team for some inspiration. We tried faux stitching, faux silk, faux leather, faux linen, faux ribbon and faux metal.

For a chance at this week's blog candy offer, please participate in the challenge and post your creation on your blog, online gallery, or email me a picture. Then, please comment on THIS post with a link to your work. All entries must be received by 7pm ET next Thursday evening to be considered for the blog candy drawing. A Little Something to Say Thank You CHALLENGE

Well, it's been a week since we posted our first challenge. I think I speak for the whole Design Team, when I say, what a FUN week it has been!! I, personally, loved visiting so many new blogs and seeing how each person interpreted our first challenge. There are so many talented stampers and scrappers out there that I was able to "meet" this week and can't wait to visit again!

Hopefully, you will all enjoy our second challenge as well. After seeing all the DT creations and the amount of people who joined our first challenge, all we could think to say was "thank you." Thanks to our amazingly talented DT gals for joining us and thanks to all of you who were as excited about this challenge blog as we were!!

So, we decided to choose that as our challenge. For this week, create a little something to say thank you. It's a phrase we say all the time, but sometimes you just need to show people you really mean it. It can be a card, a gift, a scrapbook page or what ever. Just a little something to say thank you!

First Somethings

Welcome to our new challenge blog, STAMP SOMETHING! We are super excited about the launch of our new site. Each week on Friday mornings, we will post a new challenge. We hope our projects will inspire and motivate you to stamp something.

Some of these challenges will be difficult for us as we step out of our own comfort zones while trying new things. We hope you'll challenge yourself in your own stamping and crafting as you play along with us.

OK, now to the challenge! This whole endeavor is a first for all of us, so in keeping with the theme of "Firsts," our challenge this week will be "First Somethings." Challenge yourself to try something entirely new. Attempt a new layout or color combination or a new technique or fancy fold/card style that you've been wanting to try but have been putting off. You could also just keep with the theme of "Firsts" and make a card for a first birthday, a first baby, a first house, a first car, or any other first you can think of. Keep it as simple or as complicated as you'd like.

Everyone who plays along will receive a chance for our blog candy give away! To play, complete the challenge and post your project on your blog. Then link to our blog and leave us a comment. We want to see all those fabulous creations!

New Challenge Blog

Welcome to STAMP SOMETHING, a new weekly challenge blog!!

Every week starting this Friday, May 9th, we will post a challenge that will hopefully inspire and motivate you to STAMP SOMETHING!! We will also provide examples from the members of our Design Team for even more inspiration.

We are looking forward to stamping something every week and hope you'll join us in the fun!!
