DRS Sketch Something - CHALLENGE

Good Morning!

Thanks to all of you who participated in our Red, Gold, and Green challenge last week. The creations were unique and beautiful! It's always fun to visit each of you and see what you've come up with for the challenge. Thanks again to Whimsy Stamps for sponsoring last week's challenge!

We have a new challenge for you today, a sketch challenge! Our own DT member Emily created this sketch, thanks Emily! This challenge will be a little different than our usual challenges in that it will go for 2 weeks. We have decided to take next week off to focus on family time and the holidays.

We also have a new sponsor for this challenge, DRS Designs! They have generously donated stamps to the DT for creating inspiration samples and also a free stamp for one lucky winner!

Here's a bit about DRS Designs...

DRS Designs is a small family owned company. We have been in the rubber stamp business since 1955 and have been thru many changes since that time. No change was more significant than the addition of art stamps in 1992. In the ensuing 16 years, we have grown our collection to more than 1000 original stamp designs with more being added each month. We offer online shopping from our website, a monthly club - Rubber Mania Monthly, as well as a retail store in Bethel, CT. If you are in the area, stop by our cozy Victorian shop and say hello!
We offer high quality, wood mounted rubber stamps as well as unmounted rubber depending on your preference. We have a 10 person design team and a blog that is updated daily by each member of the team. Every two weeks on a Monday, we host a blog challenge and invite you to join us! Our online site features a gallery for each designer as well as a customer gallery. We hope you will participate in our challenges and email us your cards so we can include them in our growing galleries.
We offer a wide assortment of images, sentiments (serious and humorous) as well as easy background images and technique stamps such as our stained glass and our plaid stamps.
You can find us at
www.drsdesigns.com and http://drsdesignblog.blogspot.com

Here's the sketch for the challenge. Be sure to model your project after this sketch, then post a link here on THIS post to your creation. For a chance to win this blog candy prize, be sure to enter by 7pm EST on Thursday, January 1st! We will be back with an all new challenge in the new year on January 2nd!

Until then, have fun sketching something and Happy Holidays! We look forward to many new challenges in the new year and we hope you'll join us!

Something Red, Gold and Green ~ CHALLENGE

Can you believe Friday is here already!!!!

What a fast week we had to look at everyone's snow somethings!! A big thanks again to Pamela from Firecracker Designs for supplying us with candy last week and a few future challenges as well!!!

Well, the holiday season is upon us and we thought a challenge to use traditional Christmas colors would fit right in. So that's it for the week, just create something using the color combination of red, gold, and green.

The winner of this week's challenge will be among the first to own brand new stamps from the stamp company, Whimsy Stamps. Here's a bit about the company....

Welcome to Whimsy Stamps! We are a family owned business located in New Hampshire, USA. We have had a love of stamping and card making for many years. Our Co-Founder, Denise began her stamping career as an independent demonstrator for Stampin' Up!. As she grew to love stamping more and more, she wanted to be able to bring her ideas to life through rubber stamp designs. With the help of our talented artists, we are happy to share the unique designs you see in our Whimsy Stamps Collections. We hope you'll find our stamps easy and fun to use.

All you need to do to win this super cute moose stamp and this sentiment set is post your entry and leave a comment on THIS POST by 7pm, Thursday, December 18th when we will randomly pick a winner.

Be sure to check out the red, gold, and green creations from our design team.

Have fun stamping something! :)

ETA:
We are without power here in NH, so Erin and I will hopefully be able to see all your fabulous creations and entries soon. If this site is not updated by Thursday or Friday, it means we are still without power. We've had a major winter ice storm that has left most of the state without power and they are saying it could be many days before it is fully restored. We'll be back as soon as possible, until then have fun stamping something red, green and gold!

Snow Somethings ~ CHALLENGE

Happy December Everyone!

Hope you all had a safe and successful Black Friday! We enjoyed seeing how everyone interpreted that challenge! And a big huge thanks to Jessica Lynn Originals for sponsoring!!

This week's challenge is simple....stamp something with snow. It can be something made of snow, something that likes snow or something that reminds you of snow. Anything really that's more fun that shoveling snow!!

Our snow challenge is sponsored by Firecracker Designs by Pamela. Here's a bit about Pamela's stamps...

Rubber Stamps for the Artistic Soul
Most of my images are made to work together, and for extra versatility, they often have images that stamp inside other images. Like a sign, that has several words that fit inside, or a flower that is separate from the leaves, so you can stamp the flower top, the stem, and or the leaves...create a whole bouquet, or stamp just one... YOU can decide how to put the images together!! Combine sets for lots of options!!!

Unmounted Red Rubber Stamps and Clear Stamps too!! For Scrap booking, Card Making, Jewelry and Paper Crafts. Unique art stamps for hours of rubber stamping fun! Specializing in those hard to find images, mostly hand-drawn and photo manipulated art stamps.Yoga,Germany, Italy, Children images and so much more!

Pamela has not only generously donated blog candy for you this week, but she also donated some of her adorable stamps to the Stamp Something DT as well as her own DT member, Vicki Parson, so we could all play with some firecracker rubber!! Here's the set you could win(perfect for Christmas Cards)! All you need to do is leave a link on THIS POST to your snow creation by 7pm Thursday, December 11 and you'll be entered to win this fantabulous set!!

Happy Snow Stamping and be sure to visit Firecracker Designs, you'll love what you see:)

Black Friday Somethings - CHALLENGE

Hi All!

It's Friday and we've got a fun new challenge for you this week, one in honor of the traditional Black Friday shopping day here in the States! Each year, on the day after Thanksgiving, the retail shops and stores have crazy specials, sales, early bird deals, and low prices on all your holiday shopping needs. It's a day when people get up at crazy early hours, wait in line forever, pushing and shoving just to get that sale price or one of kind gift for that special someone! It's a fun shopping day, one might feel very victorious at what she can accomplish in a few short hours!

So we thought it would be fun to have a "Black Friday Somethings" challenge! All you need to do is make a project using the color black! Simple! It can be anything, a card, scrap page, 3d item, a gift, as long as it contains black in some form, it counts!

To enter for your chance at this week's blog candy prize, have your entry posted by 7pm EST on Thursday, December 4th. We will be choosing 2 lucky winners this week! Please leave your comments on THIS post for the blog candy chance!

Our sponsor this week is JessicaLynnOriginal! Here's a little info about this unique stamp company....

Thanks again to all of you who participated in last week's sketch challenge sponsored by Queen Kat Designs. We got to see fabulous interpretations of the sketch, you are all very talented! And thanks again to Queen Kat for donating that great blog candy!

We have a new challenge for you this week, one in honor of being thankful. Here in the United States we'll be celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday next week so we thought what better challenge than one for giving thanks, saying thank you, or celebrating this holiday. For your chance at this week's blog candy prize, post your entry by Thursday, November 27th at 7pm EST. Please leave your comment/entry on THIS post.

For blog candy this week, our talented design team member Jo created this lovely card folder and filled it to the brim with a variety of Magnolia images. Thanks Jo! Due to the Thanksgiving holiday here, the winner will be drawn and announced with the challenge next Friday morning.

Be sure to check out all the design team samples too, we have LeAnne Pugliese as guest designer again this week!
